Delegation visit from Kazakhstan

In June a new delegation from Kazakhstan participated in the annual Regional Development Seminar arranged by RKK.

This year the 15 participants mainly came from 3 regions north east of Kazakhstan; - East-Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and North-Kazakhstan Regions.

They represented top management from authorities in each of the region, principals of colleges and industry from one of the regions, as well as
representatives from the Ministry of Education & Science.

The seminar program included; - presentation of the Norwegian Education and apprenticeship models, the strong cooperation between the main parties of Norwegian industry, visits to colleges and to construction sites in the region.

One important part of the seminar was the sharing of experiences across boarders and how to develop vocational education system further.

The project is now half way in a 3 year program. The last day of the seminar was used for planning of the way forward of the cooperation project between the Kazakh parties and RKK, and a social gathering which also included a short fishing trip at the island of Finnøy.
