Course in Machining - add-on/advanced for students from Nigeria completed at Stord |

In February 2010, ten students from Nigeria completed a 240-hour course in Machining - add-on/advanced. The course took place at Stord Training Centre in the period 18 January to 25 February 2010. A closing ceremony was held at Stord at which course certificates were presented to all the course participants.

1st May is the last date for applications for the Pre-Engineering course run by RKK on behalf of the University of Stavanger. This is a very popular course and last year there were more than 900 applications for the 400 places available. To date this year we have already registered more than 300 applicants. Anita Rapp new head of RKK's Luanda - Mapess project office |

Anita Rapp has been appointed head of the Luanda office for the Mapess project. She has for some years been international coordinator for the Norwegian Football Association, with responsibility for the women's national squads, and has international work experience from South Africa and Zambia. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science. We wish her welcome to RKK.

On Friday and Saturday of last week, RKK's Namibia office set up a working seminar at Windhoek at which the main topic concerned the establilshment of tertiary vocational education ("Teknisk Fagskole") at INP in Sumbe, Angola. Automation course for Tecnip, Statoil and IKM at Åkrahamn. |

A course starts today at Åkrahamn Upper Secondary School in Automation. Most of the 13 participants are from Tecnip, but Statoil and IKM are also represented.
