Meeting with project partners in Astana

As part of the Kazakhstan-Norway education cooperation, RKK visited project partners and Statoil in Astana the 17TH of April, and discussed the overall project plans before start of the upcoming regional development seminar in Pavlodar, with the 3 regions the 18TH of April. In meeting with director of the department of technical and professional education Mr. Boribekow, RKK and MES discussed the objectives, status and the way forward for the vocational educational cooperation project between Kazakhstan and Norway for the upcoming period.

After the meeting with Ministry of Education, RKK discussed the overall plan and the upcoming seminar in Pavlodar with the Norwegian Ambassador Mr. Dag Halvorsen. The Ambassador was very pleased to have been invited by RKK to the seminar, and he was looking forward to address the participants in the seminar, as well to see some of the Vocational training centre in Pavlodar, and to be able to visit the Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant.

At last RKK visited Statoil and met the acting general director for Kazakhstan Mr. Frank Drange, and Annagul Bairyyeva who is responsible for relationship and public affairs. RKK and Statoil exchanged information about the ongoing RKK project in the meeting, and also discussed the MOU(memorandum of Understanding) between RKK and Statoil.

All meetings was in a very positive atmosphere, and partners agree of the high importance of the regional development program for the KazNorCoop project, and stated their full support for the program in the future.
