On the 19 and 20 October 2011, RKK organized a regional development seminar focusing on vocational training in Petropavlovsk in Northern Kazakhstan. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the education department in the regional Akimat, as part of the "Kazakhstan - Norwegian Cooperation Project" (2011-2013), where RKK and Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan are partners.

A regional seminar was held last week by the "Kazakstan-Norwegian Coop Project". The seminar was hosted in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan.
The seminar focused on the development of the vocational education system in the region, and especially on the interaction between the Akimat authorities, secondary schools and local business communities.

On 9th September, an official graduation ceremony of the first theory of oil and gas drilling training in Namibia was held in Swakopmund. The Drilling Introduction Course is an IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) certified course, and was conducted in Walvis Bay, Namibia.

On September 1st 2011, representatives from MAPESS-RKK project management and CINFOTEC visited the first project trainees at the FMC site in Sonils Base, Luanda. The first round of Hydraulics and Welding courses ended in July, and FMC enrolled 10 welding and 1 hydraulic student through the project’s trainee programme.
