Ole Imsland and Carl Williams were this week in MAPESS in Luanda, Angola. The programme consisted of discussions on the status of RKKs prosject in MAPESS and on future work together. On Tuesday 8th June, a delegation from the Petroleum Exploration & Production Department, PEPD, in Uganda together with Øystein Kristiansen from OD visited RKK. This prize has been awarded annually since 1995. Kjell Arholms memorial grant was established by the RKK Board and is a travel scholarship intended for teachers or other staff in secondary schools in Rogaland. There has been considerable activity in Walvis Bay in Namibia this week. RKK Namibia has 51 participants from Nigeria who are under training in a variety of disciplines. The training is part of the cooperation between RKK and UNITAR (United Nations). Next week, the number of participants will increase to over 70.
