Through cooperation with the development and cooperation bodies Dalanerådet, Haugaland Vekst Ryfylke IKS and Sauda Vekst, RKK has established networks that both give scope for concrete initiatives and promote forward thinking.
RKK’s primary regional network consists of around 30 schools cooperating in the field of training provision. These are distributed over the entire area from Sauda in the north to Dalane in the south.
As a result of this cooperation, the schools are also engaged in working with local enterprises. The areas and development organisations shown here are of particular importance to RKK and provide arenas for dialogue between school, community and commerce: Dalanerådet IS, Finnova as, Haugaland Vekst IKS, Innovasjon Norge (Rogaland branch), Ryfylke IKS and Sauda Vekst as.
– It is naturally encouraging to see that we are succeeding in creating joint activities, on both local and international level, says Odd Harald Olsen, managing director of Ryfylke IKS.
– These partners are important to us because of their key activities and their geographical distribution. We also work well together on a personal level, always an advantage, says Ole Imsland, managing director of RKK.
At the seminar ”Arena Ryfylke”, Imsland and Leif Knudsen from RKK presented some of the activities that Ryfylke IKS and RKK have jointly contributed to in the field of ICT-based competence development for the private and public sectors. At this seminar, municipal mayors, chief administrative officers and company heads were given a briefing on subjects such as the Interreg project ”ICTs for SMEs”, the use of ICT in small and medium enterprises and RKK’s strategic plans up to 2015.
Through dialogue with Dalanerådet (Dalane Council), the Dalane region too is now engaged in a number of EU projects, the most recent being the Interreg 3B project ”Rural Broadband”, in which Dalane Breiband and others will have an opportunity to present their activities to regions around the entire Baltic Sea area. Other participants in this project, together with project leader Gaute Fardal from Dalanerådet, are Terje Malde from Ryfylke IKS and IT leader Odd Bård Risvoll from Rogaland County Council.
- Credit is due to RKK for our involvement in many of the projects in Interreg, Leonardo and other international programmes, says Gaute Fardal. We have therefore included RKK in the work of developing our relations with Slovakia and Lithuania, through EEA mechanisms and other means.
